Developing a Marketing Plan for The Sneaker JointOnline Marketplace
Bluefish was engaged to develop a Marketing Plan for new start-up and online marketplace Sneaker Joint. Our brief was to develop a plan that could be built on over time and would effectively drive sales of retro and hard to find sneakers within Australia.
In 2016 we were engaged by new start-up Sneaker Joint to optimise their website and social media pages and help them get to really get the business off to a flying start.
Sneaker Joint already had a website, Facebook and Instagram pages and had started to build a community of interested followers so we developed a plan to leverage this strong presence and their highly impactful lime and black colour scheme to drive business in their first 1-2 years in market. The plan included:
- Articulating their offer and the benefit to consumers. The first thing we did for Sneaker Joint was to rewrite their bio as ‘a market place for iconic, retro & classic sneakers’.
- Optimising the website to make it easy to shop and really showcase their great range of kicks
- Developing a social media strategy (including recommended content) to build engagement amongst potential new and existing clients
- Providing a range of potential Introductory Offers to convert interest into sales
This focused, effective plan was designed to build awareness of Sneaker Joint amongst those looking for retro and hard to find ‘kicks’ or sneakers, and to set up a marketing framework for long term success.
Since implementing this Marketing Plan, Sneaker Joint has continued to build their community with over 3,000 followers on social media, strong sales and even more listings.
